CAEF (The European Foundry Association) announces a change within the CAEF General Secretariat as Johannes Kappes takes the role as Secretary of Commission for Economics and Statistics. Kappes succeeds Tillman van de Sand, who is starting a new journey within BDG. Tillman van de Sand has been an integral part of CAEF for the past three years. We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his work and wish him the very best for his new position within BDG.

Johannes Kappes, has a strong academic foundation, having pursued studies at both Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg and Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. His professional journey includes positions with Deutsche Bank in Luxembourg, as well as Ernst & Young in Switzerland and Germany. Kappes joined CAEF in August 2023, bringing with him a fresh perspective and a determination to drive the association’s mission forward. One priority of the new Secretary Commission for Economics and Statistics is to enhance visibility of the European foundry industry.

Stay tuned for exciting developments as we continue to work tirelessly to support and advocate for our members in an ever-changing economic landscape.
